• apply oil around the base of your hair to avoid skin irritation
• section your hair depending on how long your hair is
• start the application on each section of your hair
• if your hair has been relaxed before, avoid the tip of your hair that is weak and start with the root
• make sure that the relaxer covers every area of your hair
• leave it for a few minutes and always check if your hair is flattened
• Rinse out and wash your hair with shampoo and condition it

How can I remove a relaxer from my hair without cutting?

Relaxer is a permanent way of straightening curly hair and to remove relaxer from your hair is to cut off the relaxed part of your strands but I didn't go through that route to get my hair back to its natural state. I was able to transition back to my 4c hair after years of not relaxing my hair. I allowed the relaxed section to grow out until all strands of my hair became natural.

This method may take time but it is worth it. you don't have to worry about cutting off your hair rather you enjoy your hair as it is and before you know it your hair strands are fully transitioned

Can relaxer kill Lice?

In as much as I do not recommend frequent use of relaxers, but it is so fortunate to say YES, relaxers actually kill hair lice. In early 2021, my cousin got hair lice from a new salon she newly visited and was too overwhelmed on what to do to get rid of these hair lice which was hurting her scalp due to frequent itching. 

she decided to relax her hair every month and within the space of two months. she noticed that she rarely have itching scalp and flakes. Hair lice were gone after 3 months of relaxer usage

How to treat a scalp burn from a relaxer

when your hair gets a burn from using a relaxer, the first thing to do is to wash out the relaxer from your hair with cold water as soon as possible and apply aloe vera gel on it. Aloe vera is known for its healing properties, continuous use of aloe vera on your scalp will make the scalp heal faster.

Put your hair in a protective style for that period until your scalp is healed. don't try to always manipulate your hair into different styles and give your scalp time to heal
