HISTORY
Djibouti was formally known as Somaliland when it was colonized by the French, after they gained their independence on 27th June 1977 from Ethiopia, they adopted the name Djibouti and also they adapted the flag of a political party as their new national flag and was hoisted in the same year of their independence
